The Solar System was always my favorite subject in school. It was a truly fascinating world. In fact, you can term it as an infatuation. And today, we are about to discuss a science project which is getting basically built on the solar system. The universe is itself a topic of mystery. And with a science developing each and every day we are learning more about these ideas. And in some years we can reach to the farthest point without any problem. This is the science we are looking forward to. However, today’s topic is pretty simple when it gets compared to the dark matter. Therefore without any further ado, let us get going with the whole science project.
Solar System And The Project We Are About To Make
The solar system refers to the gravity-bound system. They mostly revolve around the sun. The solar system comprises of eight planets. They are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. It is in that order. Visualizing the model is pretty easy. You can make a well-scaled model, without much difficulty. It is pretty easy, if you know what we are talking about.
Additionally, when we are changing the total notion of measurement, then the idea gets sorted out. Like for instance, we are taking reference for earth and sun some sponge ball. And the measurement will be- the sun will measure around 8 inches. While you need to take the shape of the earth like the shape of paper corn, therefore the whole measurement of the project will become approximately 2.24 km. Now many of you must be wondering how is it a relevant science project? Let us take the tough path now-
The first step is painting the models. Take cardboard. Paint it black or dark blue. Put some stars and galaxy to make some extra detailing.
The next step is sorting the foam balls. Take note to cut them in accordance with the shape and size of the planets and sun. For instance, the largest of all of them would be the sun. After that next would by Jupiter and Saturn. Then move to the smaller size as per your idea of the size of planets.
The next step is painting. You can use up the orange or yellow for the sun. After that, brown for mercury. Then use brownish-yellow for Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter. After that, take red to paint Mars. And take blue for painting Neptune, Uranus, and our mother earth.
Some More On This
To add some detailing, try cutting the asteroid belt. Make sure to make them big enough to go more prominent than the planetary ring.
The next step involves gluing up the art pieces. Make sure to maintain the order. If you feel confused, try taking help from any science book.
Well, this is it. Isn’t it a secure method to make it into a science project. Well, sure it is. Therefore if you plan to rock this science fair, try making this. Additionally, you may add extra detailing as your wish. Try making it an extravagant artwork that can rest with for the rest of your lifetime.
